Understanding Lead Time for FBM and FBA Offers:

- FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant): This term refers to the best offer on Amazon.com, fulfilled directly by the merchant.
- FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon): Here, the best offer on Amazon.com is fulfilled by Amazon.

FBA orders typically arrive within two business days, while FBM orders usually take 2-7 business days. Thus, allocating more handling time for FBM orders is recommended compared to FBA orders.

 

Distinguishing Handling Time and Shipping Time:


- Handling Time: This is the number of days a seller requires to procure, pack, and ship an item after receiving the order. The "ship by date" is determined based on handling time.
- Shipping Time: This is the time it takes for an order to travel from shipment to delivery.
-Total Delivery Time would be the sum of handling time + transit time, and any intervening holidays and weekends.

 

Options: 0, 3, 5, 10 Business Days:

- 0 Business Days: This translates to the "Default Handling Time" in Seller Central. Default handling time is used for offers where you've set handling time to 0. You can then define the default handling time as one or two days in Seller Central.
- 3 Business Days: Your Amazon offer will read "Usually shipped within 2-3 business days" or "Usually dispatched within 2-3 business days."
- 5 Business Days: Your Amazon offer will indicate "Usually shipped within 2-3 business days" or "Usually dispatched within 4-5 business days."
- 10 Business Days: Your Amazon offer will show "Usually shipped within 2-3 business days" or "Usually dispatched within 6-10 business days."
